Sanity down the drain, an abstract thought to gain, hover over and again, a noose that hangs above, as a wayward child walks, roaming the streets alone, falling face first, and not a palm out 


Reaping the seeds we sow, to hold what one can't own, perplexed indecision, to swallow someone's pride, neck and neck hand in hand, a trist born within, pictures can only hide the hands dealt and cast aside


A shadow dances in the dark, something I have to hide, I've fallen once again and cut my fragile hands, glass that permeates, spreading all around, I've dreamt so long and hard about such solitude, for it to wither and writhe, there is no haven here, nothing to call home......I fear I'm nodding off


How does one begin to sleep at night when the guilt won't say goodnight?
How does one stop the shakes when they cant see above the wake?


Its been a long night as abstract thoughts race, its been a long night and yet I'm still awake
